Lead wire processing case: There were no companies willing to take on the work that had been outsourced.

We had requested an external company to cut it to 300mm using a length measurement, but we were in trouble as there were no companies willing to take on the job, which led to this request to our company.

At Pearcom, we process lead wires used for component assembly in-house, performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, stripping, pre-soldering, and crimping. We have equipment like lead wire processing machines and a number of knowledgeable veteran staff members. This time, we would like to introduce a case of a company that was in trouble because they had outsourced the cutting of lead wires to a length of 300mm, but there were no companies willing to take on the job. [Challenge] They had outsourced the cutting of lead wires to a length of 300mm, but the company that was handling it went out of business. [Proposal] We suggested that the customer send us a sample to evaluate the quality and processing techniques before deciding whether to proceed with the cutting of lead wires to a length of 300mm. [Resolution] We confirmed that we would always send a sample to check for quality issues, and the customer was pleased with the processing quality and our responsiveness of the delivered lead wires. Additionally, they were very happy that the delivery time, which had previously taken about three weeks, was reduced to two weeks.

Lead wire processing example: Until now, it has been processed manually in-house.

A temporary employee was manually processing lead wires, but we received a request from a company looking for a wire processing contractor to handle other tasks.

At Paircom, we process lead wires used for component assembly in-house, performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, stripping, pre-soldering, and crimping. In this case, a company was looking for a wire processing vendor because they wanted to assign other tasks to their temporary employees who were manually processing lead wires. **[Challenge]** The temporary employees were manually cutting 20,000 wires and performing a 55mm twisting process at the ends, which was a very demanding task. Additionally, the company wanted the temporary employees to handle other work, so they were searching for a wire processing vendor. **[Proposal]** We conducted wire selection and prototyping, and to demonstrate the actual twisting strength, we submitted three patterns of sample products. **[Solution]** We were able to handle everything from wire selection, and we received positive feedback for repeatedly prototyping until the twisting strength met their requirements. There were no issues with the finish or pricing, leading to formal adoption of our solution. Previously, they faced difficulties when they needed stock but had none available due to manual processing. However, they were satisfied that orders placed with us arrived about two weeks later, and they have continued to place orders since 2019.

Case study of lead wire processing: Looking for a wire processing contractor to review manufacturing costs.

Due to the company's policy to review manufacturing costs, the materials procurement officer is looking for wire processing contractors and has introduced cases that have been requested to our company.

At Pearcom, we process the lead wires used for component assembly in-house, performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, stripping, pre-soldering, and crimping. This time, due to the company's policy to review manufacturing costs, the materials procurement officer is introducing a case of a company that was looking for a wire processing vendor. [Challenge] Until then, the wires used for the main products were being cut manually by employees, which was time-consuming. With the company's policy to review manufacturing costs, the materials procurement officer was searching for a wire processing vendor. [Proposal] We received the drawings and provided samples, responding that we could deliver within a week. [Resolution] By requesting wire cutting processing from Pearcom, it was found that there would be an annual cost reduction of 280,000 yen, which made it easier to present to the company's upper management. They were pleased that the order arrived three days after the request, and we continue to receive orders from them. Our company has seven lead wire cutting machines and processes about 50,000 pieces daily, so we can easily accommodate requests for 200 or 400 pieces, which enabled us to handle this situation.
